Check of the VB-PUO schema
Amount with more than 2 decimals
Finding SIVI-DEC-01 of the free validator
Why it matters
Amounts are exchanged in euros and cents. A third decimal means the amount was calculated but not rounded, so totals would not reconcile between the parties.
Example
What the validator says about a test message:
- What is wrong
- The amount 1234.567 in "startAmount" has more than 2 decimals.
- Where
- Field "startAmount" (Amount (for example of accrued capital) at the start of a period) in cohort "COH-20-24" in scheme "SPR-01". Path: party/0/pension/0/pension/0/startAmount.
- How to fix it
- Round the amount to cents in the source, or declare the rounding rule explicitly in the mapping. Amounts are never rounded silently.
