Why it matters
The standard requires this field. The receiver relies on it to process the data, so a message without it is rejected as a whole.

What the validator says about a test message:

- The mandatory field "description" is missing.
- Where
- Field "description" (Description) in cohort "COH-20-24" in scheme "SPR-01". Path: party/0/pension/0/pension/0.
- How to fix it
- Fill in "description" in the source data or the mapping. If the value is genuinely unknown, agree with the counterparty how to report it: do not leave the field out.
